Villaworld Homes by AVID Property Group recognised at national builder awards

Villaworld Homes by AVID Property Group (AVID) has taken out the top prize at one of construction industry’s most acclaimed competitions, cementing its place as an exemplary amongst its peers.
The 2024 Housing Industry Association (HIA) – CSR Australian Housing Awards were announced at the Awards Gala Dinner in Cairns on Saturday 18 May 2024.
AVID, which has a $5 billion national property portfolio, won an award for its builder arm, Villaworld Homes and was a finalist for its Sphere Garden Terraces development on the Gold Coast.
AVID’s 2024 award wins included:
- Winner: 2024 HIA Australian Professional Major Builder – Villaworld Homes by AVID
- Finalist: 2024 Townhouse/Villa Development of the Year – Sphere Garden Terraces
The Australian Professional Major Builder Award recognised Villaworld Homes by AVID’s industry leading practices, high-quality construction, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
AVID General Manager Housing Peter Wood said the award recognition was a clear indicator of the builder’s commitment to excellence and innovation as well as its dedication to customer satisfaction.
“We are immensely proud to have been acknowledged by HIA with these awards – which reflect the overall high standard of our housing, our innovative practices and customer first approach,” Mr Wood said.

AVID acquired Villaworld Homes in 2019, extending the businesses position in the market as a builder-developer. Villaworld Homes’ home range has been curated, researched, adapted, and improved over more than 35 years, with the builder having delivered 19,000 homes and more than 7,000 home design combinations over this time.
The HIA National 2024 Awards have been Villaworld Homes by AVID Property Group’s most successful to date, after Villaworld Homes also took out Professional Major Builder and Townhouse/Villa Development of the Year at the 2023 HIA Queensland Awards.
